EVALUATION QUESTION ONE- In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

LOCATION SHOTS

For the majority of our teaser trailer we shot mostly at the train station, a house and the streets of Chilwell.
For our establishing shot however, we chose the location to be in Nottingham city centre. We did this because we wanted to capture the city that Lottie Lives in. Additionally, in both Fish Tank and This Is England, their trailers begin with an establishing shot to set the scene and overall represent Britain.

When filming, the train and the train lines are the main enigma codes which represent why Lottie's life has turned upside down.
Here are some shots that we took of where some of the filming will take place.

Other main locations used within our trailer include Lottie's House.

As we can see the house represents a working class house, again to represent working class Britain within our film.
We used this location throughout the film in order  for the audience to personally get to know Lottie and build a strong connection with her.

MISE-EN-SCENE

Our Mise-En-Scene is mainly going to be our own clothing that we already have. Some key items that our characters wear are fishnet tights, Fred Perry, Adidas, Dr Martens and converse. All these are very casual items of clothing.

OUR FILM TRAILER COMPLETE

MUSIC PERMISSION

We needed to use music within our film that would fit our genre; We chose a local Nottingham band "Same Streets" as their music fits our Social Realism genre perfectly. We got in touch with the band via Facebook and asked for their permission to use their music to prevent us breaching any copyright; they got back to us and said it was fine to use and thanked us for choosing their music.

We also chose the website "Noise Trade" which lets you download free music from artists around the globe to prevent us breaching copyright. We chose to use John Mark Nelson's "Im not afraid" album, using a variety of songs including "Im not afraid", "A hundred Orchards" and "Dream last night". The album consisted of both happy and sad songs to fit the mood of the different shots within our trailer.
